Roy began his professional career 19 years ago,and has recently moved to join The Shay Grange Golf Centre. His most recent role was Director of Golf at Whitefield Golf Club where he quickly established himself as one of the leading teaching professionals in the area, with his no nonsense easy to understand style of teaching. 

Roy is a highly experienced teaching professional and has an excellent knowledge of all aspects of teaching the game of golf and this has been reflected in his selection to teach for the PGA at numerous British Open venues as well as the 2002  Ryder Cup at the Belfry

He has taught all levels of golfer from beginners to local county players, including Europro and Challenge tour players as well as fellow professionals. 

He prides himself in his ability to make even the most anxious golfer feel relaxed and isn’t happy unless his lessons go away feeling like they have learnt something and are on the road to improvement.
